Few-Shot Academy is operated by an individual based in Texas, USA, who is responsible for the website data described here. For privacy questions or a request concerning information you submitted, email [email protected] or use the contact form.

At a glance​

• You do not need an account, and the website does not collect payment-card information.
• Every page open is counted without a visitor identifier. A Cloudflare Function sends only the page address through a detached queue to Google Analytics; your browser does not contact Google for this count.
• Optional Google Analytics remains off unless you select Allow analytics.
• Course progress and quiz results stay in your browser and are not synchronized to our server.
• Contact and feedback submissions are stored so they can be read and acted on.
• Blog and podcast comments connect to GitHub only after you select Load GitHub comments.
• Podcast players are optional embeds. YouTube uses its privacy-enhanced player, and YouTube or Spotify receives a connection from your browser only when you load the player.
• When site-wide search is available, Algolia processes the query you enter to return results. Search works independently of the optional Google Analytics choice.

What is collected​

Optional Google Analytics​

Few-Shot Academy loads the Google Analytics 4 browser tag only after you allow it. Google may then process a cookie-based client identifier, session statistics, approximate location, and browser/device information. Google Analytics can set _ga and related _ga_* cookies, which may remain for up to two years unless you clear them or withdraw your choice. Automatic browser page views, Google signals, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are disabled in the site's Google tag configuration.

The site also records selected interactions, such as starting or completing a lesson, following the next-lesson link, submitting a quiz, opening a lab, or moving between blog, career, interview, and curriculum pages. Career guides also record summary actions and whether the viewport reaches 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the detailed guide. Reaching a section does not prove it was read. These custom events use stable content identifiers and controlled categories. They do not contain:

• Quiz answers or scores
• Contact or feedback messages
• Email addresses
• The contents of locally saved course progress
• A custom account or user identifier
• URL query strings or fragments
• Search queries

You can decline analytics and still use the entire curriculum. Use Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing disables future analytics activity and removes Google Analytics cookies that the website can access. Clearing browser data also removes your saved choice, so the site will ask again.

Anonymous page counts​

For curriculum and career pages, the server increments a first-party aggregate counter. It stores the page path, total count, and last-viewed time. It does not add an IP address, cookie, browser identifier, or other visitor identifier to that counter.

Every page open also sends the normalized page path to a Few-Shot Academy endpoint on Cloudflare. The request omits site cookies and its referrer. The function puts only that address on a Cloudflare Queue. A detached queue consumer generates a fresh random value required by Google Analytics Measurement Protocol for each delivery. The value is not saved, derived from your browser, or reused to link your visits. It also adds fixed reporting categories for the page's section and, where applicable, curriculum track, plus a label separating these counts from consented browser analytics. Google receives individual page-view events, not only aggregate totals. The visitor's IP address, user agent, referrer, cookies, query string, URL fragment, and device information do not enter the queue or the Google request. The browser skips pages rendered as not found. The server validates the submitted path's format, but does not independently check it against a list of published routes.

Google receives the detached queue consumer's request, not the visitor's browser request. Google may infer details about that Cloudflare worker request, but those details do not describe the visitor. Reports from these page counts are used only for view totals, page popularity, and changes over time. They are not used for users, sessions, acquisition sources, location, demographics, or device analysis.

Cloudflare processes connecting IP addresses as part of hosting and protecting the website. Not forwarding an IP address to Google for page counts does not mean infrastructure providers never process it. Counts may miss blocked requests or include repeated deliveries; they do not represent a verified number of distinct people.

Contact and feedback submissions​

Contact submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1. If you provide an email, it is used to respond to that submission. Email is optional. A copy of the submission is sent through Cloudflare Email Routing to the Few-Shot Academy contact inbox.

Feedback submissions are also stored in Cloudflare D1 and copied to the contact inbox. The feedback form does not request an email address. Avoid placing contact details or sensitive information in its free-text fields.

There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for contact or feedback database records or their notification emails. They are retained unless you request deletion or a deletion process is introduced. To request deletion, email [email protected] with enough information to locate the submission. This notice will be updated when an automatic retention process is established.

Cloudflare Turnstile​

The contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam. The application sends the challenge token and connecting IP address to Cloudflare for verification. Cloudflare may process browser and environment signals for this security check. The application does not store the IP address in its contact or feedback database tables.

Browser storage​

The site uses browser storage to remember course progress, completed quiz results, theme choice, and whether optional analytics is allowed. This information stays on that browser unless the relevant feature explicitly says otherwise. It is not synchronized between devices. Clearing site data removes it.

This functional storage remains available when analytics is declined because it provides features you request, such as remembering completed lessons.

GitHub comments​

Blog and podcast comments are provided by Giscus and GitHub Discussions. The embed does not load automatically. If you select Load GitHub comments, your browser connects to GitHub and GitHub may process account, cookie, device, and usage information under the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Podcast players​

Podcast episodes may include YouTube or Spotify players. They are not loaded until you choose to load or play them. YouTube embeds use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. When you load a player, your browser connects directly to that provider, which may process information such as your IP address, browser details, and player activity under its own terms. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that an embed is cookie-free.

An episode may also have a Listen on Spotify link that opens the episode on Spotify in a new tab. Its logo is served by this website. Your browser connects to Spotify when you select that link.

Site-wide search​

Site-wide search is provided by Algolia DocSearch. When you use search, your browser sends the query directly to Algolia, which processes it and the connection information needed to respond. The site disables Algolia Insights events and requests search with query analytics and click analytics disabled. It does not save recent searches or favorites in your browser or send search queries to Google Analytics. Search queries are not added to page URLs or page titles.

Declining optional Google Analytics does not disable search. Algolia still processes queries to return results under the Algolia Privacy Policy.

Service providers and international access​

Google processes anonymous page counts and, when allowed, optional analytics. Cloudflare hosts the site infrastructure, queues and relays anonymous page counts, stores form submissions, routes notification email, and provides Turnstile. GitHub hosts, when requested, blog comments in a separate public comments repository. YouTube and Spotify provide podcast players when you load them. Algolia provides functional site-wide search when it is configured. These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live under their own terms and transfer mechanisms.

Course labs may let you choose external model providers. Inputs you send from a lab go to the provider you choose, not through the Few-Shot Academy website. See the Disclaimer and that provider's privacy terms before sending sensitive information.

Your choices and requests​

You can:

• Decline optional analytics without losing access to the site.
• Change or withdraw the analytics choice through Privacy settings in the footer.
• Clear local progress, quiz results, and preferences through your browser's site-data controls.
• Ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted by contacting [email protected].
• Contact your local data-protection authority if you believe applicable privacy rights were not respected.

We may need enough information to find the relevant submission and avoid deleting someone else's information. We will not ask for more identification than is reasonably needed for that purpose.

Children​

Few-Shot Academy does not require accounts and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Security and changes​

Reasonable technical measures are used to limit and protect collected information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. This notice will be updated when data practices or service providers materially change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
